The Ed Waldrum School of Neon is located in Irving, Texas. The school accommodates up to four students per session allowing for a cohesive learning environment.

Each student is supplied with their own bending table, ribbon fire, and three-headed Waldrum exclusive cross fire. Emphasis on glass bending techniques is paramount. Students are introduced to a multitude of glass bending methods and are required to work with a variety of glass types and diameters. The basics of neon glass bending, with one-on-one instruction, will become your edifice for all future learning and exploration.

The class offers numerous opportunities for learning. A small sampling of what you will learn includes:

• Recognizing and making solid welds, right angles, double backs, drops, and raises.

• Creating single stroke and outline letters in various sizes.

• Bending connected and individual letters, including PK Fitting techniques, and neon border.

• Processing neon glass, blocking out, and the basics of neon sign construction.

• Discussions about pattern making, wiring, equipment set-up, and many other industry related topics.

• Visiting local neon shops - commercial and retail.
